Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is characterized by excessive anxiety and worry over several events or activities, such as work or school performance, and the person finds it difficult to control the worry. Along with the anxiety and worry, the person can experience restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, or sleep problems. Like other Anxiety Disorders, these problems cause significant distress or impairment in major areas of life, like work, school, or relationships.
