Fred Imuentinyan, Jr., PhD, is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor at Dr. Messina & Associates in Southlake, Texas. With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Imuentinyan is committed to creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable and supported. He has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds, addressing a wide range of clinical and emotional issues, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, and relational challenges.
Dr. Imuentinyan tailors his approach to meet each client’s unique needs, utilizing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). Dr. Imuentinyan earned his Doctorate and Master of Arts degrees in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Angelo State University and completed his undergraduate studies at Texas Woman’s University. His specialized training across diverse settings, including family advocacy centers, inpatient and outpatient hospital services, and extensive psychological services for the Justice Department, contributes to his comprehensive approach to mental health.
Texas-born and raised, Dr. Imuentinyan enjoys spending quality time with his family, unwinding with a good movie or video game, staying active at the gym, and tackling challenging puzzles.
