About Dr. Harter
Verena Harter, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience, specializing in psychological testing, evaluations, and assessments of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, and other neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions at Dr.
Messina & Associates in Southlake, TX.
Dr. Harter is committed to contributing to a comprehensive environment where clients receive thoughtful and coordinated care. With an integrated approach, Dr. Harter enjoys collaborating closely with colleagues, ensuring that every client’s needs are met with excellence, integrity, compassion, and reliability.
Dr. Harter earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas, and her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Dallas. She completed an APA-approved internship at Louisiana State Hospital and Pinecrest Developmental Center.
Dr. Harter has provided assessment and therapy in private practice, inpatient settings, community mental health centers, and long-term care settings. She has also provided supervision to Licensed Psychological Associates, Provisionally Licensed Psychologists, and practicum students from Southern Methodist University.
Dr. Harter has lived in the Keller/Southlake area since 2002. She is married and a proud parent of two Carroll Dragons. Dr. Harter enjoys spending family time on the weekends, attending her kids’ sporting events, as well as hiking, camping, and biking.
She strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their assessment and care. Dr. Harter is grateful for the
