The Power of Early Intervention: Taking Control of Your Mental Health
Early intervention is critical when it comes to managing mental health disorders. Seeking help at the first signs of a mental health issue can significantly improve the effectiveness of treatment, often preventing symptoms from worsening or becoming more complex. Early diagnosis allows for a more targeted and personalized treatment plan, giving patients the best chance at recovery and a return to normalcy.
However, it’s important to understand that it’s never too late to seek professional help. Whether you’ve been struggling for a short time or for many years, reaching out for support can still lead to meaningful improvements in your mental health. Here's What Southlake and Flower Mound Residents Say About Our Mental Health Treatment
ExcellentBased on 69 reviewsAimee WanderMarch 9, 2024I have known Dr Messina for a very long time and I’ve seen firsthand how hard he works to provide the best care for his patients. Not only is he incredibly smart, but more than that - he cares deeply for those under his care. And he also works hard to hire those that provide the same level of care. I would not hesitate to send anyone his way.nmtax AdminMarch 8, 2024Our family has been utilizing Dr. Messina for years. He has helped us with our marriage, our family dynamics and the relationship with our children. We can’t say enough how invaluable his help has been.Megan KustMarch 8, 2024Amazing practice! Very helpful and caring :-)Paige JonesDecember 28, 2023Our family has worked with several of the professionals at Dr. Messina & Associates and all have been wonderful. They met my teenager where they were, without judgment. They were held accountable and given the tools needed to manage anxieties.Audra CarrionDecember 5, 2023At 4yrs old, our little girl was a mess of emotions and behaviors. Who could blame her as the C19 pandemic, mama being sick, a new baby, and moving houses had rocked her little world. She was acting out at school, running away, fighting, hiding, and having night terrors. My mama heart was shattered and I had no idea what to do to help her. The doctors said to try CBT and just overall therapy and we started having success and seeing change for the better but then her therapist left to another organization. In a Google search for a pediatric CBT therapist in the Southlake area, I found the Messina group and we were scheduled with Mrs. Ashlea. In all honesty, I don’t know exactly what they do during their time together but I am forever grateful for it. My daughter is not just doing well, she is thriving! Some of her diagnoses will always be there and that’s what makes her unique but Mrs. Ashlea has taught her how to handle her self, her emotions, tools to use to manage and not just fall apart. Most of all Mrs. Ashlea loves my daughter and has taught her to be proud and confident in who she is and assures her everyday that she is perfect and it will “all be okay.”Duncan PloetzOctober 8, 2023I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Dr. Messina. Out of all the places I've tried to get help for OCD, he was the one I could actually make a connection with which allowed for successful treatment. His practice I accommodating for virtual or onsite meetings which is great for a busy schedule. Outside of OCD he was helpful with other forms of anxiety and stress as well. I also always knew I could depend on him and his team to answer whenever I had a question or concern. I highly reccomend him and his practice, especially for anyone with serious OCD!Camp RandomSeptember 6, 2023I love Dr. Mickan! I've been a client of hers for over two years and she has helped me make incredible strides. She's counseled me through trauma and grief and given me the tools and strategies I need to cope with life's many challenges. I know myself better, and it has made ALL the difference. I'm stronger emotionally, professionally, and physically. I wish I'd gone sooner. I recommend her to everyone I know.
