Kristi Rodriguez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate (LMFT-A) who works with children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults with a variety of issues and difficulties at Dr. Messina & Associates in Flower Mound and Southlake, Texas.
Kristi enjoys working with people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, family attachment issues, grief, and loss. Kristi creates an atmosphere of compassion and warmth with a strong client-centered collaborative approach and utilizes Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Narrative Therapy, as she has found these to be most effective in treating the challenges mentioned. Kristi’s aim is to provide a safe environment where clients can process their feelings and struggles while identifying personal and relational resources that will help them move closer to the person they want to become.
Kristi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in University Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Wesleyan University. Her clinical experience includes The Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders as well as becoming a certified facilitator for Prepare/ENRICH premarital and marital enrichment counseling.
Kristi is a native Texan and has been married for over twenty years with two grown daughters, who give her great joy. She loves spending time with her family and serving in a women’s prison ministry in her free time.
